Who is Jackie Tahakanizibwa?
Jackie is an accomplished marketing and communications professional with over 10 years’ experience in brand management, media relations management, stakeholder management, corporate social investment management, Events management and internal and external communications across industries including financial services, Media, FMCG among others.
Jackie is the current Corporate Relations & Regulatory Affairs Manager at Diageo, UBL, Director Programs at Public Relations Association of Uganda. Sec Gen. UAIA
Experience
Prior to her current role, Jackie served as Senior Manager Marketing, communications & Customer Experience Responsible for the bank’s marketing function including managing image and corporate reputation, development and execution of the bank’s corporate social responsibility programs and managing key stakeholders, development of Post Bank’s branding & PR strategy.
Jackie has also worked with various brands including Corporate Relations Manager at Monitor Publications Limited- a Nation Media Group Company, Manager Special projects/Executive Assistant to MD and Customer service officer with Stanbic Bank Uganda
Why Jackie stands out
Jackie under her leadership at UBL worked tirelessly during the Covid19 pandemic to partner with Ministry of Health, Buganda Kingdom, Bar owners for a massive vaccination drive that materialized into a great shift towards the number of vaccinated Ugandans.
That was a commendable job considering the conditions that brands were operating in.
Education
Jackie is an Associate of Chartered Institute of Marketing(ACIM), holds a diploma in professional Marketing-CIM UK among her other academic qualifications.
Jackie subscribes to Public Association of Uganda(PRAU), Uganda Marketers Society(UMS) among other professional bodies.
