Who is Margaret Namulindwa Kigozi?
Maggie Kigozi as she is commonly known is one of Uganda`s most influential markers of all time.
Margaret joined Standard Chartered Bank on 25th November 2021 as the Head of Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing for Uganda.
She joined the Bank from Coca-Cola South & East African Business Unit where she held several roles.
Experience
Prior to Standard Chartered Bank Uganda, Margaret`s last role at Coca-Cola was Category Lead for the Flavor Brands for over 13 markets in Sub-Saharan Africa a position she held for over 1 year.
She served in other roles at Coca Cola including Head of Marketing – Uganda, Ethiopia, Mozambique & HORN for 2 years, Senior Brand Manager-Flavor Category for 3 years, Head of Marketing – Uganda for over 3 years.
Margaret also worked with brands including Head of Marketing- Unilever Uganda responsible for successful implementation of a key Marketing Plans of volume, share and financial objectives for the Company, maintaining close coordination with all key functions to ensure effectiveness in implementation of plans and mid-course correction among others.

She possesses proficiency in developing Brand Strategy, connecting with consumers through relevant communication and execution of successful Marketing campaigns gained through over 19 years working for both Coca-Cola and Unilever.
She led and developed brand strategies for flavor brands across African markets (South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia & Botswana inclusive of innovations & communication Strategies
She led the teams to develop brand strategies, communication & pack and product innovation for 31 markets in Africa including Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Ivory Coast Cameroon, Rwanda, DRC
Education
Among her other qualifications, Margaret holds a bachelor’s degree in development studies from Makerere University Kampala, a post graduate Diploma in professional Marketing(DipM)and is a certified member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing(MCIM)
