Who is Primrose Kobusingye?

Primrose is a Ugandan marketing professional, having worked as a head of marketing in 3 sound financial institutions.

She is the current Head of Marketing & Communications at  FINCA Uganda Limited (MDI)  a position she has held since 2019.

She is well rounded in the fields of geo and subliminal marketing, research, communications and

customer experience.

Experience

At the age of 26, Primrose was already entrusted as a Head of marketing in acting capacity of Orient Bank now  I&M bank, and she never looked back.

She has previously worked with Ecobank Uganda as the Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs & Communications and positioned the Pan African brand as  a one stop center for Corporate Banking.

Prior to this, she has served in the advertising industry including working  at SCANAD as the PR Client Services Executive handling several big brands.

Why Primrose stands out

With exposure in both the private and public sectors, Primrose has led the FINCA Uganda(MDI) to win various awards the latest being Best in CSR Category in the Uganda Marketing Excellence Awards 2021  having donated 1.3 million masks to Ministry of Education.

She is a mentor under the MasterCard Global Give Back Foundation women mentorship with nomination sin the SAWIL Africa Trailblazers wards 2021 and New Vision 40 under 40 2020 achievers, out of marketing, Primrose Is very passionate about mentoring girls in the professional sphere.

Primrose is your typical marketer that deliberately infuses a bit of fun in carrying out her duties. This is an aspect she alludes keeps her active and creative since the world of marketing is ever evolving.

Education

Primrose holds An MBA from the Cyprus

Business School majoring in communication and advertising, a Post graduate  diploma in professional  marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing(MCIM) and a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from the Prestigious Makerere University.

She holds a certification from the John Maxwell becoming a woman of influence program.
