SIMON KAHERU(MBA)

Who is Simon Kaheru?

Simon is  the current Head of Groups public policy and partnerships function at Cocacola Beverages Africa.

Experience

Simon`s career spans over 25 years with his new employment being  and previously Director of Public Affairs and Communications at Coca-Cola Beverages Africa Uganda since October 2017.

Simon has had four years of Senior management with Coca-Cola Beverages Africa, a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods organization, managing Communications, Corporate Social Responsibility and Logistics.

He put in Nine years in mainstream media and desk operations, at a Senior media management with a busy English newspaper, The New Vision.

Simon previously had two years of Communications and Relationship management with the Government of Uganda.

Why Simon Stands out

Aside his rich experience, Simon has mentored over 300 communications professionals, presided over 1000 events as a moderator/ public speaker and has worked in major sectors including Government, Private sector, media and now in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods( FMCG) world.

Simon has also previously  served as  a Director-Member of the Board for Uganda Broadcasting Services(UBC)

He dedicated his Nineteen years to manage Media Analyst, a New Age Media firm providing value added services for a wide range of clients and partners in East and Central Africa.

Simon is a key member of Public Relations Association of Uganda(PRAU),American Chamber of Commerce(AmCham) Uganda, a professional association affiliated with the US Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. which is an important forum for investors and businesses to network, share experience, and coordinate efforts.

Education

The Kings College Budo Old Boy is also the current Board chairman of ICT Associations of Uganda with a  Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications, Journalism and Related programs from the Prestigious Makerere University among his other academic qualifications

Who is Agnes Asiimwe Konde?

Aggie Konde is a Ugandan polished marketer, an FMCG and multimedia industry expert with over 2 decades of experience in Strategy, leadership, talent management, business growth.

Aggie Konde is the current Vice President Program Development & Innovation at Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) an organisation that seeks to transform African agriculture from a subsistence model to strong businesses that improve the livelihoods of the continent’s farming households headquartered in Nairobi Kenya an established in 2006.

She has been in this role since November 2019.

At AGRA, she is responsible for the strategic role of program development implementation and monitoring of impact. The role drives the design and oversight of all elements of AGRA’s technical programs and strategy in 12 AGRA countries in East, West, and parts of Southern Africa

Experience

Prior to joining AGRA, Aggie Konde spent 2 years as CEO Msingi East Africa an Independent, multi-decade organization that seeks to identify and support East Africa’s industries of the future to create widespread and lasting prosperity in the region.

Aggie has served on various positions before leaving Uganda including MD NTV a company of Africa Broadcasting (U) Limited, Head of Sales and Marketing Crown Beverages Limited the manufacturers of Pepsi among other beverages, Circulation and Marketing Manager, Monitor Publications Limited a Nation Media Group company.

Why Aggie Konde stands out

At NTV, she  led a team to launch Spark TV, VID TV, NTV GO among other projects while designing, providing foresight, and directing ABUL’s short-term and long-term strategic plan with an aim of growing shareholder value.

Aggie is also remembered for developing and implementing robust Sales and Marketing strategies that delivered turn around market share from 29% to 49% within three years.

She also grew the retail segment from 15,000 outlets to 90,000 registered retail stores, tripled the distribution partners across the nation. Aggie championed the diversification of CBL’s portfolio from a limited mix to a healthy balanced Product and Brand Portfolio.

Aggie successfully launched 93.3 KFM and achieved number two audience rating in a record 8 months after launch. Developed and implemented a successful re-brand/relaunch of the Daily Monitor and grew market share from 30% to 45%.
She was voted Best Sales Representative twice in a row and was Project Manager for Benson & Hedges and Embassy cigarette launch in Uganda

Education

Aggie Konde holds a bachelor’s degree Social Sciences from Makerere University, Executive Diploma, Organizational Leadership from  Global CEO Program IESE Business School, MBA from University of Liverpool among other qualifications.

Who is Daniel Ogong?

Daniel Ogong is one of Uganda`s most  accomplished marketing leaders and CEO material  with over 2 decades of professional experience across  various sectors including FMCG, Financial services among others

He is the current Executive Head, Marketing, Communications and Client Experience at Uganda`s leading bank, Stanbic Bank.

Experience

Prior to his current role, Daniel served as Marketing Director Nile Breweries for a period of 15 years when parent company SAB Miller was taken over by AB InBev

Daniel spearheaded several major initiatives over the years in support and development of music, entertainment and related industries in Uganda including the Uganda Video Music Awards, myriad of concerts, festivals, and support initiatives for talent across the region.

Why Daniel stands out

Daniel Ogong announced as a member of the Hall of Fame Africa and League of Kings & Queens Executive Board.

He is a highly acclaimed and respected Ugandan and East African business mogul, former Marketing Director of Nile Breweries .

He brought on board a wealth of experience that will has shaped Stanbic’s Marketing and Communications strategy to reinforce and sustain the bank’s position as market leader while supporting the delivery of innovative solutions that respond to today’s customer needs.

 

At Nile Breweries, Ogong played a pivotal role in building a stable portfolio of brands that saw the company sore to market leadership. He was responsible for reviving fortune beers like Nile Gold, Club, Castle lager during his tenure.

The  15 years of service at Nile Breweries is a testament of Daniel`s resilience and dedication that’s worth celebrating.
